Lesson Policies

• Lessons are arranged through verbal agreement or email.
• Payment is due at the last lesson of the month for the following month’s lessons. Payment is required a month in advance and must be made before the end of the month either in person or by mail. I will charge $25.00 for any checks returned NSF.
• Make-up lessons will be granted if prior notice of absence is given at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson time. No exceptions. Students are allowed only one make-up lesson per month. You will receive a credit for the next month’s lessons. Please contact me ASAP if you will be unable to attend your scheduled lesson. A short notice cancellation must be made by phone, not email. • If I miss a lesson, I will give credit for the next month’s lessons. I am an active performing musician and occasionally I will need to defer lessons. My primary method of communication about this is email. Please let me know if that is not acceptable.
• Parents are welcome to stay during their child's lesson.
• Students will be required to purchase music books, reeds, and other instrument accessories for their lessons. It is very important that these items be purchased in a timely manner. I sell most of my recommended books and reeds. A product list is available on request.
