Wayne
Leechford is a multi-instrumental musician and music instructor from
Raleigh, North Carolina. He holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees
from the North Carolina School of the Arts. Read

years, locally and across the country. He specializes on saxophones,
but also plays clarinet, flute, guitar, bass guitar, and Chapman
Stick (click
here for more on the Chapman Stick). Wayne has extensive studio
recording experience and has been featured on many commercially released
recordings over the years (see discography).
His sax playing was featured in the film trailer for Warner Brothers,
The Whole Nine Yards (click
here to listen). Wayne performed for President Bill Clinton at
the White House in 1995 (click here for
pictures). His appearances have included live television and
radio broadcasts.
Wayne Leechford currently performs with many musical groups including
Children of
the Horn, Raleigh
Saxophone Quartet, The
Free Spirits Ensemble, and the Wayne Leechford
Trio. Wayne is also an active theatre/pit orchestra woodwind
doubler (click here for theatre credits).
He teaches saxophone and clarinet at Ravenscroft School, NC State
University, and at his private studios in Raleigh and Cary, NC.
