Wayne Leechford offers group instruction in the form of chamber music. Saxophone Quartet, Clarinet Quartet, and Woodwind Quintet. Fall and Spring sessions consist of 12 one-hour weekly rehearsals and Summer session is 6 one-hour rehearsals. Each session concludes with a recital. Students will improve their ensembles skills, instrumental techniques, and music reading. Rehearsal times TBA. All rehearsals will take place at Leechford Music, 216 East Chatham Street, Suite 101, Cary, NC 27511.

Ensemble placement is by audition. There are a limited number of positions available. Students must provide their own instruments. Interested students should submit an audition recording. Audition recordings can be an audio or video submitted via email. Application deadlines – Fall by September 1, Spring by January 1, Summer by June 1. Fees for the ensembles are $300 per participant for Fall, $300 for Spring and $150 for Summer. The fees must be paid in full before the first rehearsal are are non-refundable.

Audition pieces are the All-State Honors Band solos for the current school year. Solo lists can be found on the North Carolina Bandmasters Association website.
